When looking at these examples, study the notes underneath to see what all has been changed to make these more effective. When you get ready to design, keep the bolded things in mind.

Trifold brochure redesign for Ultimate Spa & Salon
They brought in soothing spa-like colors...unified it by using the blue at the bottom and consistent fonts...Organized the info with bold headings and blue subheadings...Also included photos of the facility and top ratings of being chosen as the 'best' spa.
Abell Insurance Ad Redesign
They cleaned it up by simplifying the color scheme from red, blue and yellow to just red and cream...used a professional looking font..repeated the thin circular design behind the photo and the 'A' logo...made the photo slightly bigger.
bussiness card design
They used an eye-catching color scheme of black, yellow, and white..used a graphic or a bird that represents power..they used it small in their logo and then repeated it in the background silhouette..they organized the information using proximity and aligned the bottom set of info to the right side of the card...they also unified it by the yellow stripe along the bottom..a much more memorable design than the first.bussiness card design
They seemed to target a different client with the new cards than the old...they chose a funkier color scheme and a more modern font that seems to go with ski & board rentals...they tied the front design to the back design by carrying over the colors and repeating the logo, but added it in a different color for a little variety....They also used a spray painted-like graphic which speaks to a younger generation.
bussiness card design
While keeping the main color of red they made this a little bit richer and higher-end looking by adding a little black and a contrasting yellow graphic...they also changed the focus from the name of design style 'Feng Shui' to the focus of the designer 'Michelle F. Hess'...they used alignment to the right side of the card and chose an Asian inspired font which is suitable for the subject of the card.
