African Masks

After studying about African Cultures the kids chose either to make a mask or a weaving.  They sketched out a fairly symmetrical masks then created them from cardboard, clay, paper mache, and an assortment of decorative items and paint. 
They included some of the characteristics from traditional masks...scarifications, piercings, painted patterns and hair styles.
