ART: Self Portraits

Most of these were based off of photographs taken by the student themselves and drawn using a grid. They could use any medium to finish it out.  Scale was from 8.5 x 11 up to 18 x 24. We could've improved these by paying more attention to how light the grid should've been, as well as removing grid lines BEFORE shading and blending. I feel like these got rushed at the end. For the most part the values could have been pushed a little darker in my opinion. However, the resemblance to the people who did them is quite clear on these portraits.

ART: crayon do's and don'ts

You are now in HIGH SCHOOL art , so say farewell to sunshines in the corner of your page, goodbye to stick figures, and adios to scribbling in crayon to just 'get it done'. Here are a few examples of what your work should strive to resemble, and some examples of artwork you should avoid. Also shown are some tips and techniques for how to achieve certain effects.
