As a class we filled out a worksheet going over the theme & discussed the details of prom. The who, what, where, when, why, and how. Our theme is Mardi Gras Masquerade, so I had them research the imagery associated with decorating for Mardi Gras (all of the appropriate ones! 😉 ) worksheet   ⇐ After this is filled out use www.canva.com to design ticket front/back and poster/invite. African Masks After studying about African Cultures the kids chose either to make a mask or a weaving.  They sketched out a fairly symmetrical masks then created them from cardboard, clay, paper mache, and an assortment of decorative items and paint.  They included some of the characteristics from traditional masks...scarifications, piercings, painted patterns and hair styles.
